‘Entr’acte’ wins best animation at Italian filmfest.

TEHRAN, Oct. 17 (MNA) – Iranian animated short ‘Entr’acte’, directed by Mohmmadreza Kheradmandan won the award for best experimental short film from the 11th edition of Nazra Palestine Short Film Festival in Italy.

Kheradmandan’s 'Entr’acte' is a reaction to the horrifying reality of child killing in the world. The film has previously been screened in several international festivals in countries such as South Korea, Spain, Romania, Taiwan, Brazil, Czech Republic, China, Emirates and UK.

'Entr’acte' is a French word meaning an interval between to acts of play or opera; as such the film is narrated in the interval between two pieces of music. The idea of ‘Entr’acte’ is taken from an Israeli sniper’s post on Instagram who claimed he had had killed 13 Palestinian kids in a single day.

Nazra Palestine Short Film Festival’s mission is to show the difficulties and challenges experienced on a daily basis by Palestinians who live under occupation, with no freedom nor respect for human rights.

The 11th edition of the event was held on Sep. 26 - Oct. 9, 2017 in Italy.
